i finished my wee tiny sock (the pink one) and it turned out sooo cute!
so i sent it to my wee tiny swap partner (in maine!) and then received my green wee tiny sock from kim in california! really cute!! thanks kim!!
the flickr page has almost 50 wee tiny sock photos on it! what a fun swap (and my first one)!
so i found this KAL whilest working my way through knitting blogs. it's the wee tiny sock KAL (on yarn miracle's blog here: http://yarnmiracle.gweezlebur.com/) where you knit a tiny sock (20 stitches on 0's) and mail it to someone from the participant list. you're supposed to get one back. it looks silly and fun and should only take an hour (so they say). so i'm doing it! i'll take a pic of my wee sock and the one that i will hopefully get from another wee sock knitter.
just a random post about driving...as i drive at least 300 miles/week for work.
here in lexington/central ky people use the left lane as a driving lane. not as a passing lane or even as an "i'm at least going faster than the people in the 'slow" lane" lane. but as a driving 33 in a 35 lane. road rage anyone??
furthermore, i have deemed the middle lane of a 3 lane highway as the "new slow lane"™. think about it. ok i've said my piece. stepping off my soapbox.....
I have entered the 21st century and now am a proud owner of a "blog"! I hope to keep it up with updates on life, violin/music, knitting, etc. I joined the Blue Moon Fiber Arts "Rockin' Sock Club" this year and received my first order which I am so excited about!
I have to finish the 2nd sock of a pair I started in February (the "good and plenty" socks) before I cast on the new ones.
I'm also trying to figure out whether to follow the new pattern that came with STR yarn, or stay with the old, tried and true pattern. Hmmmm...
It's a beautiful early spring day here in KY...on my way home from teaching a lesson this morning I stopped by Home Depot to get some pansies for my balcony. They are hanging out there...happy happy! Come on Spring!
